WAKO – ORIZZONTE Ofuro Bathroom Module

Practice of Daily Soaking for Relaxation and Mindfulness

editor: AK

Soaking in an Ofuro, a traditional Japanese bathtub, is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. A key reason for its appeal is the sense of relaxation and mindfulness that daily soaking provides.

The Japanese style of Ofuro bathing begins with a thorough shower taken outside the tub. Once fully clean, the bather gently immerses themselves in crystal-clear, steaming hot water, enjoying a tranquil and deeply relaxing soak. Even if water overflows from the tub as the bather settles in, it only enhances the charm and serenity of the experience.

This practice requires a dedicated area called Araiba, located adjacent to the bathtub, for washing the hair and body beforehand. This can make designing an Ofuro bathroom challenging due to high humidity, water leakage, and the potential for mold growth.

One of the best solutions to these issues is installing a prefabricated Ofuro bathroom module that thoughtfully integrates various components such as plumbing, a bathtub, an Araiba, a shower system, flooring, and wall units. This optimized design offers several advantages, including water resistance, mold prevention, ease of maintenance, and affordability.

ORIZZONTE - Prefabricated Ofuro Bathroom Module with Unique Functions

The ORIZZONTE is a beautifully designed Ofuro bathroom module created by WAKO, a company with over 40 years of trusted experience in manufacturing high-quality bathroom units.

The ORIZZONTE embodies the perfect fusion of simplicity and functionality, combining timeless beauty with user-friendly efficiency.

The name "ORIZZONTE", meaning "horizon" in Italian, perfectly reflects the product's design philosophy. Its minimalist form, pared down to its purest essence, exudes a striking yet understated elegance. The linear silhouette evokes the serene expanse of a distant horizon, inspiring a sense of calm and openness in the space it occupies.

Beneath its minimalist appearance, emphasized by sharp, precise edges, it offers a wealth of thoughtful features and functionality. While its design remains clean and unobtrusive, it conceals innovative and practical utilities.

Product Features

Storage Counter

The most distinctive feature is the Storage Counter, which provides designated spaces for all items in the bathroom, keeping them neatly concealed. This effectively eliminates clutter and maintains a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

The top lid on the bathtub side doubles as a bath shelf, allowing users to place items such as waterproof smartphones or books while soaking. Additionally, when using the top lid as a bath shelf, the bathtub cover can be conveniently stored in the available space.

The lower section of the storage area near the faucet serves as an inspection panel, making it easy to access the main faucet components for maintenance and to open or close the stop valve as needed.

Available in three sizes, with varying storage capacities depending on the sizes:
Sizes: L = 1600mm, 1800mm, 2050mm

Rain Shower (Ceiling Built-in Type)

The Rain Shower, designed to gently envelop your entire body in warm water, is perfect for times when you don’t have time to fill the bathtub for a soak.

It softly warms the body while providing a sensation akin to being caressed by gentle rain. This soothing flow of water offers both relaxation and a healing effect.
