THREE-M-INDUSTRY – 10K FLANGED FOOT VALVE – MODEL No. 10FF-13

About Flanged Foot Valve

editor: AK

A flanged foot valve, also referred to as a foot check valve, serves as a non-return valve within systems where fluid is drawn from a lower position, such as a water source situated below a pump. Typically, it is installed either at the end of a pipeline or at intermediate points.

The primary purpose of a flanged foot valve is to prevent “water hammer” or “loss of prime.”
When a pump stops, air can enter the pipeline, causing water level drop (known as “drawdown”).
The foot valve automatically closes when the pump stops, maintaining water inside the pipeline.
